Give One Glove was started in July 2011 by then-fourteen-year-old Tristan Triplett after he returned from the Dominican Republic. While on a mission trip with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Tristan and his teammates played baseball with the local Dominican kids and saw their equipment, specifically gloves, was in desperate condition.

Tristan donated his glove to one of the players, and the appreciation he felt for the simple deed was life changing. Tristan returned home to Savannah with the desire to do all he could to deliver more gloves to his new friends in the Dominican Republic, and Give One began.

Since then, Give One Glove has worked through FCA missionaries to donate gloves, baseballs and other equipment to areas of need in the inner city of Atlanta, as well as villages and communities throughout the Dominican Republic. Each summer Tristan and fellow baseball players travel back to the Dominican to share the love of Jesus Christ and to donate baseball equipment to young baseball players as a tangible example of Christ’s gift to all of us.

Tristan asks for donations of new or used baseball gloves and other gently used baseball equipment to send to baseball players and teams in need. Monetary donations are also more than welcome and are used to purchase used baseball gloves through retailers like Play it Again Sports. Most of us take for granted all that we have, but something as small as the gift of a baseball glove to a young player could change the direction of that young player’s life.

With your support, Give One can continue to show the love of Christ by simply putting a baseball and a glove in the hands of player in need.

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
